DOSAL Alüminyum

Aluminium profile families

Because extrusion can make any constant-section shape in one piece, the same section serves architecture, machinery, lighting and transport.

An aluminium extrusion profile is a constant-section part made by pushing a heated billet through a die. The families below are the most requested section types; for sections not listed, a custom die can be requested with a drawing.

Box and rectangular profiles

Hollow sections for frames, supports and housings.

Angle (L) profiles

Equal and unequal-leg corner connections, edge protection and reinforcement.

T profiles

Guides, trims and connecting elements.

U and channel profiles

Open sections forming rails, guides and housings.

Tube and round sections

Handrails, furniture and structural tubing (not for fluid service).

Flat bar profiles

Flat sections such as plate, strip and sheet-like parts.

T-slot (modular) profiles

Slotted sections for bolt-together assembly; machine and workstation frames.

Heat sink profiles

Finned sections for heat-dissipating electronics and lighting.

Multi-chamber architectural profiles

Chambered sections for door, window and facade systems.

Custom sections

If you need a section that is not in a catalogue, state the drawing (DWG, DXF, STEP or PDF) in the quote form. A custom section needs a die; the die and production plan are confirmed in writing in the quote.

Questions to ask when choosing a profile

  • Will the profile carry load, or is it only a cover or frame?
  • In what environment will it be used (indoor/outdoor, coastal, humidity)?
  • Is anodizing or paint needed, and what appearance is wanted?
  • Are cut length, holes and machining needed?
  • What are the estimated quantity (kg, pieces, tonnes) and delivery time?
